Being a pastor or church leader is a high calling.  It’s a tremendous honor to be called by God to shepherd His people.  However, the fast-paced and demanding nature of modern local-church ministry has left many ministers feeling depleted and broken. This depletion can result in burnout and relational dysfunction, which causes many to leave vocational ministry entirely.

More Than A Retreat

About Us

Honey Lake Lodge is a private and safe place which seeks to help pastors, ministry leaders, and their families to live in wholeness as they seek to be faithful stewards of God’s calling on their lives. The ministry of HLL not only seeks to bring restoration and wholeness to those who have been wounded or burnt-out but also to equip families with proactive and preventative care so they can flourish in ministry for the long haul.

Renewed For Ministry

A stay at HLL is different from a vacation where one simply escapes, maybe gets physically refreshed, but returns unchanged back to the same environment. HLL will help pastors and church leaders discover what is causing feelings of burnout and will bring healing, freedom and a new mindset of ministry and understanding of how to carry Jesus’ easy yoke.  Our guests will return better prepared to handle their roles operating in strength rather than depletion. Our retreats are either four or five days and are held over long weekends (Fri-Mon) and during the week (Mon-Fri).  We offer three types: men only, women only (pastor’s wives), or couples.  Because of the brevity of the retreats, they are just the starting point.  Participating in our Post-Retreat Program is vital to experiencing and maintaining wholeness upon one’s return home.

Here to Help

Honey Lake Lodge is a recognized 501c3 entity.  We have presentations available to help church boards understand why caring for their pastor by investing in a reboot retreat at HLL is crucial for the health and longevity of their pastor, their pastor’s family and the church.
